Oct. 5 A relaxing day doing a couple of things near Stowe, VT. 32 degrees at 8:00 a.m.

Looking out the windows in the condo we can see how the leaves have changed color in the last 2 days since we arrived.  The cold nights help them along.

Tom and I had to take some pants to be steam pressed to a town 10 miles from here, so saw more new scenery.  The little town had had a scarecrow contest and they were standing next to stop signs and power poles.

We ate lunch at a cider mill.  I bought a dish towel that says "I'm outdoorsy-I like to have drinks on the patio."  My sandwich was chicken salad on sweet potato bread.  There weren't any tours being given.

Down the road was the factory for Ben and Jerry's ice cream.  We have been to other dairy tours, so didn't do this one, but enjoyed some ice cream.

There are so many tourists from all over the country in town and all over Vermont, of course, since it's leaf peeping season.  I bought a sweatshirt in a country store that is celebrating its 120 year anniversary this year!

It is interesting how this tree is changing colors
